About Amir Eshel

At Stanford University, I serve as Edward Clark Crossett Professor of Humanistic Studies. I am also the Director of Comparative Literature and the Director of the German Studies graduate program My home departments are German Studies and Comparative Literature. I am the Director of Comparative Literature and its graduate program as well as the Director of the German Studies graduate program. My Stanford affiliations include The Taube Center for Jewish Studies, the Program in Modern Thought & Literature, and The Europe Center at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Since 2010, I have been the faculty director of Stanford’s research group on The Contemporary and the Poetic Media Lab at Stanford’s Center for Spatial and Textual Analysis (CESTA).
